  1. Good evening Marta. My name is Cristina and I am one of your classmates in ICT subject. From my point of view the activity that you set out is quite motivating, due to the fact that you are using Hot Potatoes which is very interesting.

On the one hand, If I had to do this type of activity I would never use Spanish words because it not very useful for them. As future teacher, we should teach in English and only in extremely cases tell them the translation, but always it´s better to use images, or descriptions…

On the other hand as I already said to my other classmate, I have missed the organization of this activity, or even the context in which you should teach it.

Finally, you also take into account the age of the pupils who you are going to teach this, because I believe that this vocabulary would be perfect just for the first and the second of primary.

Nevertheless, I congratulate you for your activities and your blog because it´s very helpful for other teachers.

    Cristina.

  2. Dear Cristina,

First of all, thanks for your contribution. I think that it is really interesting to share personal ideas with your classmates. However, I consider that you understood the activity in a different way. I think that we have to create a blog for "our students", not to define a context, age, time and other issues as you did. This blog is designed to be put into practice in early stages of Primary Education (2nd course). If you pay attention to the description located under the title, you will realize that I mention the age of students. In addition to this, as I said before I think that when you are teaching you do not talk about aspects such as: structure, age, time, way of organize students. The most important thing is to catch the student´s attention and make the task attractive.
Of course, the teacher has his/her own plan on a paper but he/she does not comment it with pupils.

On the other hand, I could not agree more with you when you says that translation should be avoided. Therefore, this aspect should be improved. Maybe I could use shorts descriptions instead of the Spanish words.

To sum up, I am aware of the fact that I could improve a wide range of aspects of my activity but I think that I have accomplished all the requirements asked by the teacher.

    Thank you for your comment.

    Marta.

Another point that I would like to remark is that I think that the structure of the activities is really clear.
